Artist Bio

Throughout my life I have always had a brush in my hand and this need to move paint colours around on a surface. Like an unquenchable thirst this desire is always there and so I create, I immerse myself in, because I have no choice. And I hope that the things I produce connect me to my fellow humans in a way that cannot be spoken in words.

Rebecca Yoxall was born in Cheshire UK where she spent her childhood exploring nature and creating with encouraging parents. After studying A levels, Rebecca attended London Road Art College and it was from there she knew that a career in the arts sector was her destiny. She went on to receive her BA(hons) Textile Design at Manchester Metropolitan University and began to work freelance with a Sheffield based Design Company. Soon after an opportunity arose to teach art at Mid Cheshire College and to study for her PGCE. This direction forged a path into a very rewarding business. Rebecca set up her own art school and has taught workshops and demonstrations in the North West for over 15 years alongside selling numerous designs to both UK and international retailers. With some long running designs remaining a favourite in the Dunelm canvas print range. Exhibiting in Northwich and online has has earned Rebecca a following of collectors and her work is in private collections all over the world.
